Last weekend we had a great opportunity to have some fun and relaxing family time with gorgeous weather! We traveled north to Millinocket for the Civiello Family reunion at Smith Pond. We were able to spend the day visiting with and meeting cousins and family members we only get to see every few years. The kids really enjoyed playing in the sand, water, and of course, riding the tractor:)
We hope this blog will allow family and friends to see how fast our four kiddos are growing!

Glidden Family Vacation Day #3- Storyland (part 2)
Our day at Storyland turned out to be perfect! It was a Monday, so less people than on the weekend, and it was threatening rain, so the heat was much more tolerable than previously, and no one wanted to go on the water rides;) Our first stop was the antique cars, Trey had a much better ride this time around, since these cars were not nearly as "jerky" as the ones at Santa's village despite that Uncle Gabe and Noah were the drivers. We next hopped to the water raft ride with zero line. No preggos, James was too small, and grampa and nanny wouldn't go... that left Aunt Amy and Gabe to take Noah... he tried to change his mind, but they thankfully wouldn't let him and he had a blast... he was too smart to be fooled onto the flume ride:) We just had a ton of fun playing, riding rides, and watching shows. We had all had a fantastic time and it was a welcome break for everyone! Thanks Nanny and Grampa (maybe by next year you will be recovered enough to do it again;))!!

Glidden Family Vacation Day #2- North Conway and Storyland (part 1)
Day #2 was hot, so we were very glad to have a low-key, relaxing day. During the morning we spent our time enjoying the pool, unfortunately Trey was sleeping and missed all of that fun. We drove into North Conway for a fantastic lunch, then went back to the hotel for nap time... for all of us:) After naps we headed to Storyland for the last 3 hours they were open. We rode on a few rides without long lines... Noah thought he wanted to go on the tea cups, but when their turn came he chickened out, and had his picture taken in the rabbit instead. As it turns out lots of these rides and not "pregnancy friendly" so I was pretty limited and not able to ride on any of the "fun rides"... luckily Amy went with Gabe on all of the rides Noah wouldn't go on, or James was too small for. Trey loved the merry-go-round:) Gabe had a fantastic idea for all 4 of us to ride on the swan boats together.... both kids wanted to drive and couldn't agree on which way to go... there was crying and yelling... we will take 2 different boats next time;) That night the grown-ups at "left overs" for supper and played horses... we all slept well!

Glidden Family Vacation Day #1- Santa's Village
This year my parents celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary... Instead of taking a trip by themselves they decided to take all of us to New Hampshire for a long weekend at Santa's Village and Storyland (in retrospect they must be rethinking how nice a quite, peaceful trip for 2 would have been;)). Day #1 landed us in Jefferson for an entire day at Santa's Village. We arrived just after the park opened and stayed until it closed. All of the kids had a blast... I think that Trey may have had more fun/entertainment watching the other 2, but he was very patient none the less. Noah's favorite was, of course, the antique cars and getting to see Santa and tell him that he would like the Cars 2 movie for Christmas this year. James loved the water park and is pretty good now to slide down the little water slides all by himself (no pictures d/t the fact that it was really wet no matter where you stood). Trey liked spending time with his uncle, except when he was being jerked around in the back of the antique cars. He can't wait until next year when he can run around and go on the rides with N & J... he told me:) Dad was a pretty good photographer and got the great shot of our family (apparently we get a family photo only every 2 years at Santa's Village) as well as the picture of Gabe on the raft... Amy would like to say that the reason she isn't in this picture is because she was too far ahead of Gabe winning the race:) There is also a really cute picture of the 3 kids with Santa that I will try and post later once it is scanned. Overall, a very fun and exhausting Day #1.
