"Spring" Snowshoeing and Outdoor Play

Ben has found a new use for his sweatband- ice pack holder. As it turns out it will hold a bag or ice in place really well when you hit your head on something;)

It is getting warmer out, but we still have so much snow so we are enjoying all of the snowshoeing from our backyard. The kids had to work a bit harder today because things are starting to melt and you can't just stand on top of the snow anymore.  Sinking to your waist makes for hard walking. Most of our outdoor play gear is still buried so slack lining is much easier still.

Audrey Turns 6!

This girl has finally turned 6! Audrey is growing into a strong, spunky, and brave girl. She loves to ski, run, play soccer & basketball.  She has recently started playing the piano and is catching on quickly.  She loves her older brothers and is not deterred by being the youngest. We love you Audrey and can't wait to see what this next year brings!

Everyone is looking pretty tired in the first pictures, but that is because Gabe was on call today and wasn't likely to get home before they went to bed. So, we all got up extra early to open presents and celebrate with Daddy too.

Audrey's 6th Birthday Celebration

Audrey was so excited to have her birthday party at the trampoline park this year.  Everyone enjoyed themselves and certainly got plenty of exercise!  Thank you to everyone who came out to help us celebrate:)

Chorus and Orchestra Celebrations, and Some Pottery Too!

We are so fortunate to live in a community with an amazing school music department.  This week we got to see both the district wide orchestra concert (over 300 students!) and the district wide chorus performance.  All of the kids did an amazing job and improve so much from year to year.

We are also making some basement progress.  We moved our entire pantry to the other side of the basement which was no small feat, but we are super happy with the results.  Also this week the kids were invited back to our friend Cherie's house to glaze their pottery pockets they made back in September. They learned so much and were pretty patient waiting for the coats to dry.  Now back to the kiln for one more round!

Noah Turns 12!

Only one more year before this guy becomes a teenager! He is growing into such a thoughtful, kind, and loving young person.  He loves to ski, run, hike, play basketball, and he is willing to try almost anything. He still plays the violin and has started playing the piano too. He is a great older brother who comes with lots of patience and is always willing to pitch in and help.  We love you Noah and can't wait to see what this year brings!
