Last weekend the boys and I took a trip north for the town celebrations while Gabe had a nice relaxing 3 days at the "Civiello Invitational" playing golf and hanging with the guys. We made it up on time for the fireworks Friday night and James did way better this time around. We saw the parade and played games in the park on Saturday. James went down the gigantic blow-up slide and was not terribly traumatized, despite what everyone may have thought;) And, of course, once again the ponies were a hit. We spent the rest of the time relaxing at my parents house.
We hope this blog will allow family and friends to see how fast our four kiddos are growing!

Fourth of July 2011- Fun with Daddy:)
This year we had a very full and very fun-packed 4th of July! Saturday and Sunday Gabe was on call and working at the hospital. Our friends came from NH to visit us Sunday and Monday... you will have to imagine how much fun we had d/t lack of pictures;) The kids played around the yard, we visited the children's museum, attended Freeport's 4th of July parade, and on Monday afternoon got some beach time... needless to say, everyone was exhausted by the end! Gabe did have Monday "off" just being on home call which just basically meant that we had to bring 2 cars everywhere. We gave the kids a late nap, then headed out to the waterfront to watch the fireworks. We enjoyed the PSO concert before hand, and mostly the kids enjoyed playing with/on Gabe. It has been a long few months and we are glad to have him around!!! Noah loved the fireworks. James, although he did cry, didn't watch them, but instead cuddled in our arms with his ears covered. Today when you mention fire works to him he still says "too loud".

Greek Festival 2011
We made it to the Greek Festival 2 years ago... it was cold, rainy, crowded, and we had a 2 yo and James was a week or less old, but we still had a great time and the food was amazing. Last year we just plain missed it. This year we got there at a descent time and had a blast. The food was, of course great, but the highlight was Noah's dancing... We all know that he has had a knack for the dance since day one... he heard the band playing first, then saw 4 or 5 older ladies dancing in the center and had this incredible urge to dance with them... not just dancing to his own beat on the side... Thankfully this sweet woman saw his strong desire, took him by the hand and away they went... Here are some pictures, I will try to upload the video later... Oh yeah... Gabe joined in the dancing too... quite a scene in his post call scrubs and clogs. James did not have as much fun as Noah and was super grouchy the whole time, but he was quelled by the Greek desserts:)

Father's Day 2011- Funtown/Splashtown Trip
After nap time on Sunday we took the kids to Funtown Splashtown USA for our annual Father's Day aka cheap day at the Park. Gabe was free, James was free, Noah was free after 3pm and my ticket was also at a discount... and for the second year in a row the weather was great! We started at Splashtown where the kids loved the water... it was cold and despite being purple James refused to get out of the water... he even went on a big water slide with Gabe. Noah, on the other hand, was a bit smarter, and after a few minutes in the water he preferred to lay out on the lounge chairs... too funny. They both very much enjoyed the amusement park part of the park with lots of rides that were just the right side for both of them... looking forward to next year already!
